Where can I find someone to help me with my website design?

I want to move away from places like ebay, and such, and start to sell my items on my own ecommerce site. Any suggestions on where I can find someone to help, or websites that can help? I don't have much extra funds, so I need to keep it on the lower priced side. Thanks!

Try this website:

http://signup.freewebstore.org/

You get a free ready made webstore, and you can choose which templates you want. Its great for just starting up, and if you have your domain name registered, they can also transfer it for you so that your web address points you directly at the store. If you need extra options etc you can upgrade for a monthly fee, but there is really no need to do that if you're just a start up.

Customers can pay via PayPal for your goods or googlepay or whatever its called...just take a look at the website and see what you think..

You can't get lower than free lol!

If you are planning on setting a safe eCommerce site, plan on spending a few thousand dollars, surely some people will do it cheaper, but that usually means it's insecure and that person doesn't know what they are doing yet.

You can post on craigslist and get good responses, always ask for portfolio to see what they have done already.

If you want a site like that i would find a truested freelancer who can do it for you it can be very cheap and easy to do if they know what they are doing...once you have your design you can then go on and find a hosting company that will also promote your website and direct traffic to it. A good website is http://www.getafreelancer.com there you can create an account (2 seconds) and post the job online and have thousands of freelance web designers bid on the project.

Freelancers bid very low on projects and you can get it done very cheap and the outcome is very good.

also i do freelance work like this if you are interested.

good luck and remember to be patient these things are not instant.

What type of products are you trying to sell. If the products are narrowed to a specific niche you will get better results. A website is a great tool for positioning. If the tool (website) is used correctly you will attract people seeking what you have to offer, producing greater results then ebay. I would recommend that you continue with ebay while you build your site. It takes a bit of time to generate consistent traffic.

There are many web hosts that offer assistance and tools for building an ecommerce site. The host that I use is a great example http://store.sitesell.com/UnstoppableDre...
