Rubbish media never take any role in nation's building. !!??

Recently I "save&share" a story on "SAJF(South Asian Journalist's Forum) about the robust growth of indian media;- specially "those who pink print" i.e~ "business&corporate reporting"<http://www.sree.net> & most recently on Sunday I attain a programe @ Science City Auditorium in Kolkata, India- presented by a "local bengali news chanel-where I also served as Ed. Advisor. - Last winter I also attain "a same kind of programme- @ New Delhi's one of coveted hotel -hosted by Rajdeep Sardessai - as a guest where I was invited. I generally drink, drink lots of Vodka, before ataining any "programme"- where we (journalists) generaly get "all our news makers under one roof" 4rm SRK to Rajnikanth. I now recall ;- I was more/less seems to crying when one "man( an winner -a real life) told :"Desh ki liya Jan nei, Jindegi dena parta hai." Then Javed Akhtar (one of guest) rightly compliment the man <><http://www.in.youtube.com>.http://video.ibnlive.com/indian-of-the-y... Several times we ( a desk @ StarAnanda including me & Debjyoti Ghosh)<>http://www.staranandalive.com> met in a Kolkata Hotel ( ITC Sonar Bagla) ,,, @ 1st hour we every body present our idea & simultaneously Our Personal Nominee,,, I propose 2:- Great Laser Scientist Mani Bhowmik or "a bengali doctor who runs an NGO in Kolkata- also won CNN IBN's prize in a category this year. But the news channel finally decide -one Sourav Gangully, Subir Raha of ONGC & Priyaranjan Dasmunshi in the final list. And then vox populi decide who get the award -by SMS Poll & as well as Web Voting. It's no doubt that bengal tiger Indian skiper Sourav won. Is it inspirational? or as a devil's advocate- the "list" be motivated by TRPs.

For nation building lot of research,dedication is required.Why they should play that role when they are minting money in character assassination of innocent people in media.

The media expresses itself(citizens) and has revolutionsed the social thinking and its stigmas. Had the media not been so powerful, we would not have expressed ourselves even on net. Thanks to the media and let us utilise the media for the welfare of our society, country and the whole world.

I totally agree this. Media is rubbish and most of the times they are commercial. Tell me how many news channels are giving equal importance to all the sports? None of the channels will spend time or show interest in hockey or Indian football or other sports where as they spend days for cricket. How many of you know that Carrom world champion is an Indian? How many of you still remember Malleswari and Rathore? In the other hand Media is ready to give unnecessary importance to hype some movies and Political scenes. At the same time they forget our Militants and so many living legend.. Everything is commercial. Atleast at this time Media should not be destructing India.
