How can you explain e-business? And what are it's benifits?

I'm kinda stuck on this topic that I need to work on and I really don't know anything about e-business.. What do I do? And I also have to relate it to a garments manufacturing company, like how it benifits it..

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated..

Thanks..

An ebusiness is a wonderful start for any line of business, big or small. It's extremely cheap. Depending on traffic the monthly costs can be 0-100 compared to building rentals of much more.
To run an ebusiness you obviously need a webpage (you know this)
You will need to have order forms also. It would be wise to accept both PayPal and credit card transfers. With credit card transfers you need to purchase an SSL certificate. This encryptes information sent through the page so baddies can't steal credit card numbers (well, at least not easy). Get the ability to take credit card orders at places such as http://www.2checkout.com/community/

Anyways, an ebusiness will allow for a HUGE variety of people, but its a hit or miss. I can relate it to a large pile of salt. Your web business will be one grain of salt, which is really difficult to find.
- Make sure you submit your sites to Google and Yahoo
- Have a giant page of affiliates and links
- Have a lot of content on the site (Google will love you and your search placement will go up)
- Affiliate with competitors
- Buy ad spots on pages that fashionable people visit. Maybe a modeling site? Or if it's emo clothing, advertise on myspace.

Anyways, good luck to you. Here is my last tid-bit of information for you

In my opinion, ebusiness is simply any business originating and being conducted via the internet.
Having a web presence is essential in todays business world. I would estimate that 90% of my customers have a computer and use the internet more than the telephone book now to look up anything.
Good luck!
