Will someone with the knowledge of opening your own business help me? I have a few questions to ask!!

I want to open my own business, which is going to be home-based. I will do everything from home, and have a website. Do you have to have a business degree to open your own business? What all to you have to bring with you to get your business license? What do you have to bring with you to get a small business loan? Where can you get a small business loan? And do you have to have a sellers permit along with your business license, if you plan to sell retail(clothing)? Any information will be appreciated! Thank you!

No! That is one thing no one needs to open a business. As for a business license I would go online to your county's website and get what you will need. Also check to see if the county allows for a home based business. If you live in a community that has a home owners you will need to check if they allow it as well.
The business loan depends on who you go to. SBA most likely will not do a home base business that is internet based. Your local bank is a better choice. You will need EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. Business plan, your own money invested, reserves to live/run business while you get started, resume, references(both personal and business) Again I would do a meet and greet with the Business Manager at your local bank and get a list of all things they want. Each bank is different because some will maintain the loan while others will sell it off.
Sellers permits very by area here in Virginia if you are going to make over $3000 you must have a county tax ID on top of your business license.
I know this does not answer your question perfectly but I hope it helped. Just as an FYI even if SBA will not do the loan they will help you get everything together to apply for a bank loan. Including help with the business plan. GOOD LUCK.

You will need to get a license from your city, county, and/or state. It will vary from state to state, but your county clerk's office is a good place to start. Good luck.

I don't think you have to have a businesss degree but it would probably be extremely helpful, and would answer the other questions you asked.
