Ideas to get traffic to my website

I work from home with a company called Melaleuca. I'm what they call a business builder with the company. I have a website and I'm looking for ideas on how I can get traffic to my site and I'm also looking for marketing and advertising ideas.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas for getting traffic? Does anyone have any marketing or advertising ideas.

I don't want to spend any money right now on advertising or marketing.

The first thing I would check was whether or not Melaleuca offers any advertising resources and/or suggesstions. It is not uncommon for a work from home company to provide its business builders with some resources. Remember, the better you do, the better Melaleuca does, so it is in their interest to help you succeed. If they do not have any resources listed on their website, I would call them up or email them and ask for some advice. If they are legitimate they should offer you some additions. There are also standard internet marketing principles that you can apply to your website ot receive free high quality converting traffic. The most important thing to do is to make sure that your website takes into account search engine optimization, or how people will find out about your website. You will also want to investigate social media optimization, to drive viral traffic to your web site from sites such as Digg, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. The single most important of a successful is creating a unqiue and meaningful brands that stands for something. You'll want to develop your brand to offer customers a value proposition, and affinity for your website, This can be accomplished through targeted messaging such as what Burlington Coach Factory did for the back to school season (http://www.adweek.com/aw/creative/ad-of-... They took a close look at how their brand would be received by customers and made the changes needed in their messaging to express the brand the way they wanted it. Remember it is vital for you to develop a strong brand and message with a value proposition for your website/business.

I love that part, its the same way I do... btw, is it a website or blog? if its a website, you need a blog to support your web, every single post on a blog will much help very much to your web. And make a review to your own web, and then socialize to other blogger. For sure it will boost traffic to your blog.
