How do i approach my boss without coming across as a know-it-all or attacking her supervisory shills?

Where I work is dysfunctional. My boss is young, and was left the company when her grandmother passed away. She is a great person, is smart when it comes to knowing the business but, not much there when it comes to dealing with employees.
There is really no structure, no office manual, no job discriptions for the new hires, heck I did'nt have one either, thank goodness i new what my job intails because I have been doing if for 13 plus years. This company i have been with for 3 years. I do have ideas, I see the some of the problem areas and i have solutions that i would like to bring to my boss. Yet i don't want my boss to think that i am trying to tell her how to do her job.
How do i approach my boss without coming across as a know-it-all, or attacking her supervisory skills?

How about the direct approach, but with tact.... Use stories to get your point across...
Try telling her about a previous job that you had and in which you had to refer to a job description or other manual in order to complete the task... Then mention to her how some of the new hires had inquired about a job manual and Does she know where they keep them??

Telling stories is a good start...explain some of the things you have done in the past and ask if she thinks they could work where you are now......when something dysfunctional happens could be a good time to make a suggestion and give the example....good luck....

Give your boss some advice a little at time, make a suggestion
about what could be better for the company and the people you work with.Start off with a good conversation and add your advice or suggestion boost your boss up but not all at once.Be
smooth about it.
