Sim 2 downloads not working, why?

i've tried to email the sims2 people but im not getting any response from them so im turning to the public.

i have the sims 2 plus expansion packs family fun stuff, holiday edition, open for business and pets.

i have been downloading custom content from sites all over the net. i followed the instructions to install the content but it does not show up. (say unzipped content in download folder in TSData)
i have the sims2 patch for recolors.
i even downloaded a program called Q-Xpress installer (that helps install custom content) and some of the content works but not all, i have downloaded almost a gig of content that isnt working!does only half of it work? why wont most of it load into the game! my object downloads dont work!

you download loads of things....

well usually if things don't show up, you have to reinstall or make sure that what you are download placed in the rite folder...sometimes you have to place n downloads or sometimes to other folder...

Did you download the original meshes for the custom content? I had the same problem and I couldn't seem to get the downloads to work right. Some downloads require you download the mesh otherwise you can get some funny pics happening. Also check all your folders. It is really easy to put the download into the wrong folder without realizing it. Good Luck.
