Getting employed after self-employment?

I ask this question before at the small business section but was unable to get a solution.

I would like to ask how does a person get back into the workforce as an employee after failing as an self-employed?

Mainly because at the interview stage, a self-employed is viewed with doubt that he/she will want to work under someone else. Anybody care to share their experience?

First - Do not admit your failure. Maybe your company went belly up, but do not call it a failure.

If you are asked why you are leaving the realm of self employment for another industry, tell them that you satisfied your goals with working for yourself and that you want to apply your life's lesson to the "name of the company" you are interviewing with.

For instance, I was/am self employed, and work for a company full time. I transitioned out of the industry because of the costs of insurance. I explained to my interviewer that 30% of my year was dedicated to paying insurance and that was not my goal anymore.

I am still self employed, but if I got back into the work force, I think I would have a better idea of some of the issues faced by a business owner, and I would be better equipped to step in and go the extra mile to ease their burden.
