First get the new iTunes 7.7 at www.apple.com and then plug in your iPhone and then update.
Ignore firewire business, it's only for corporate businesses.

If i download this update to my iphone will anything happen to it because it is unlocked and jailbroken with a lot of stuff on it. What will happen to it and is it safe? thanks

update ur itunes first. then u can get 2.0 from itunes.
