When applying for a new job is it ok to leave out a past job from the reference section???

I didnt work much while i was in college, worked only 2 jobs.

I worked as a cashier at my mother's flower shop and the other was at a small business as a customer service-

Im definitely using my mother as one of my work experience but im unsure about the Customer service job...i was great at my job, very reliable but due to some issues (the boss created problems between me and another employee) and i just didn't want to work with a boss that said crap about her employees. So for that reason i decided to leave the job..i told the manager that i didn't want to work with them anymore but i wasn't quitting right there and then..i would leave as soon as they found a replacement. So in a way i left on good terms but im unsure if i use them as a reference.

What do you guys think? Should i still use them as a reference or not? Im just worried that if i leave them out of work experiences my resume will look really empty..

Urgh what should i do???

if you were in college, you had lots of studying to do right? Just tell them you didn't work much because of that.

Are you worried about a hole in your resume that you can't explain? Or are you more worried that there isn't much experience?

If you are worried about the hole, for the sake of a hole, i would stop worrying and leave off the job.

If you are worried about lack of experience if you leave off the job, then that's a different story. I would put the job on there for a while, and if you get the feeling that the former boss is screwing you over, then leave that job off . Try 6 months with it on and see what happens.

If you only been there for a short period of time, I wouldn't put it down. In most cases, previous employers will only verify the date of hire and the day you left. If an previous employer rates you, they could be sued for slander which they do not want. I suggest you request your free credit reports from annualcreditreport.com or call them toll free @ 1-877-322-8228 for all 3 free reports. If your employment is on there and you do no tput it does, just call their customer service toll free @ 1-800-916-8800, then type in the reference # which will be found on the Trans Union report which should be on the top right hand side.
