I want to start my own business with only 拢10.000 in my A/C will that be enogh?

I don't know were to start and what kind of businees to start with. one of my friend suggested i should open a one拢 shop in the town centre is that a good idea? how much money would i need to do that? Any advice? thank you

Yes, ten pounds IS enough but obviously if you have more then you can get better stock to sell (assuming you are selling)

for that amount you may have to run whatever business you create from home for the first year or two. For a shop you will need more money or a loan. You could always provide a service from home or sell something from home through a website. If you had more money or took out a loan you could buy an existing business. The risk is much smaller since its already established, thats what i plan to do.

good grief no
the clearance market is not the way to go forward - trust me

what services can you provide? hairdresser? hygenist? consultant? the best investment is yourself.

there is more to business than shops you know! - plus with rent, rates and tax, it's not a good idea for start - ups without the capital.

I started my first shop for less..but that was 20 years ago!

A normal retail shop costs a lot to start up from scratch no matter what you sell. I would say 拢20,000 is more like it. Contact Business Link to see if you can get an interest free loan for an extra 拢10k.

Try your hand at a craft fair, market stall, boot sales and ebay first. This costs very little to do if you have the right stock. Do your research to find an original product line!

Its possible and it does depend on the TYPE o Biz you want.
Think of whether you wanna do it online or not.

1] Online = cheaper.

2] Land Biz = more expensive especially if youre thinking of employing people!!! Tax are higher (electricity, water etc). When also people are off sick - costly too.

Just start buying and selling stuff on EBAY, find a wholesaler that sells something your interested in, add your mark up on, just make a small purchase first say 拢500 and see how it goes
