Buying a small shop? I am going to buy a small shop with off license.What are things I have to be cautious?

This is because its going to be my first business. it is a smalI grocery shop and I am investing quite a big money too. so I don't need to waste my money after all.
can you advice me on what should I consider when buying a small business like a grocery shop?

Yes, you need to be careful.
Before you buy you should
1. take a few days and count the customers that go into the store. This may take some time but very helpful.
2. Looking at their books isn't good enough. You have to look at Better Business.
3. WHO does all the work. DO they have employees. You don' want to be their 24 hours a day.
4. Have all the equipment checked out.
5. Hire your own inspector to look at building.
6. Read the book E Myth Revisited before you do anything.
