WHAT debt??? by owning the business licens?

what debts will i accrue if i own a business license, where the person running the business (brother) will not need to spend money(shop has everything it needs)? and the rent will be payed for by the person (brother) running the business? i dont think the rent would even have to be in my name or would it have to be if i m the holder of the business license? everyone says i will acquire debt but they dont say what from?

You can be liable for anything he falls behind on, or any type of lawsuit (say- slip and fall, etc). You would also be held reaponsible for any balance due to vendors. The business will have debts under the name, and being on the license makes you laible.
