The Grove closed down several fly @$$ sample (women's clothing) shops in L.A.

Doboys was a coffee shop that had internet access ($ by the hour), played vintage/underground R&B or jazz and showed indie movies. Don't know to this day whether it was the rent increase but the owner shot himself around the time it made news that the rents nearly doubled. Angelenos familiar w/Leimert Park area, help?
