Home based business question.?

My mom and I are trying to start a home based business. We're thinking of trying to create a gift shop type of business, selling things for all occasions, small, unique gifts and things like that. I know this isn't a very detailed question, because I'm not sure myself of what we're aiming to sell quite yet, but I was wondering if anyone knows of any good wholesalers that might have these types of items?

My husband and I have an online/offline retail business that might work for you. I can't give you details here since it's against the rules of this site but send me an email or check out my profile if you'd like more information.

Sounds like Amway... you can sell all sorts of things from home and they have everything you can think of.

If you want a big list of wholesalers, you can check out http://7WaysToEarnMoneyOnline.com/resour...

Check on ebay. You can often find caselots of various merchandise cheap. Less than wholesale sometimes.

I guess one of the first questions you'll want to have an answer to is whether you will be seeing your customers or mailing the item to them. If you are seeing them, there are tons of places online that you can purchase items to have in-store as inventory. If you are mailing the item, there really isn't even a need then to hold inventory, which makes your finances a little easier to manage. There are sites such as http://www.dropshipdesign.com/index.html have a whole bunch of stuff you can simply order online using your credit card (once you've accepted payment from your customer) and have them ship the item out to your customer, under your name.

When you're ready to move forward, please let me know as I might be able to get you a good deal on your credit card processing - that's what I do. http://www.creditcardsnj.com is my company's URL.

Best of luck to you and your mother.
