Business help needed!!!!!!!!! ASAP!?

I was thinking that if I make my own business like say for example a taco shop it could be less cheap to open it and name it under a name I pick and serve food I want and maybe put a pool table and stuff on there. Or I could save $25,000 in those two years and ask the bank for a loan of about $50,000and open a franchise like maybe a subway, I know people would come to subway and eat because they advertise subway all the time on TV. The point is that if I go ahead and open my own business like the taco shop I won鈥檛 need the loan from the bank but there it鈥檚 no guarantee my business will succeed because there鈥檚 a lot of completion out there. But if I try to go with the example of the 鈥渟ubway鈥?I know I might not fail since people know about subway and people go there all the time.
Help me out I need tips and what idea sounds better , sites where I can see how much franchises cost, tell me if you know people who have gone true with my goal and tell me if they subsided or fail.
HELP!

There is no guarantee that a franchise, no matter how big name it is will work either. And keep in mind most franchises run anywhere from $20k to 1.4 Million, plus you must have a certain amount of unencumbered cash on hand also. Another thing about franchises - you will pay a fee up front and then will pay royalties on each months gross income, not your profit.

I can't tell you how many closed down subways, McDonald's, Pizza huts I have seen here lately. Don't know whether it is the location, insufficient funds to keep it open, or what, but don't let name be the ruling factor.

I owned a traditional business for 15 years. Why I thought just opening the door would cause a massive amount of business... I am clueless.... and they say restaurants have the lowest survival rate of all.... if you can survive 5 years, then you have a chance.

I am not saying this to discourage you, just to make you think a bit more realistically. Do you have sufficient funds to float your business and personal expenses for 5 years? Personally you might have a great idea.. just develop it a bit more and then, if in the US, go talk to someone at SCORE or your nearest Small Business Administration.

Helping others create additional income from home through education of the system.

I knew someone who wanted to open up a Subways but decided not to because she was limited to how much cold cuts she can put on sandwiches. If u open a franchise you have to go by their rules as far as how much and what you can add and also prices. She conducted a research on her own and came to find out that many people dislike subways because of the little amount of food in the sandwich. Publics supermarket has better and cheaper sandwiches. I think if you go on your own it would be better. Advertise your shop, have a great big opening and serve small samples of your cold cuts. Also go to offices in your area and give out flyers. Once people know you are there, they will keep coming. remember that word of mouth is the best advertising you can offer. Be good to your customers and don't be too expensive especially in these times. One more thing, I used tolive in NY and one thing I miss is going to the Deli to order a sub. I think they beat subways. Hope it helps. Good Luck
