I have a business idea for a particular shop feature, how would I go about selling my idea to a company ?

What would be the best way to do this, how would I protect it, and make money off of it. What are the steps or legit websites to look at??

show how it will increae revenue of the business, at almost no risk to them (having to outsource it to you)
