Working or starting a business in Slovenia- Ljubljana?

Can anyone give me info on a non-EU citizen (I'm Canadian) who would like to work or open a business in Ljubljana? I am an experienced bartender/bar manager, and would like to move there ASAP. I would take a bar job to start, and then look for opening my own place- is it expensive/ difficult to open maybe a small pub in Ljubljana? How about Licenses for liquor and business? Or is it easier to open a shop selling something? Could I start for 15-20 thousand Euros?
'Hvala' to any who can help me!

1) It is rather expensive to start up I guess, you need to pay the rental 6 months in advance, and rentals in the city centre are expensive.
2) If you want to open a bar/pub, you need to register a company (d.o.o.), and being a citizen is not a condition, you need starting capital of ... hmmm...it used to be SIT 2,000,000, which amounts 鈧?8,300, but I amn't so sure about the amount now; 鈧?0,000 might be enough
3) Bar is easier than a shop, Slovenians are outgoing people, while shop might be a risky business
4) You don't need a licence for liquor, but there are laws on liquor sale with which you need to comply
5) You do need a licence for business, as i've told you, you need to open a d.o.o.; you should go to see a solicitor (lawyer) for that
6) Once you open your place you should consider hiring some mafia for protection. Maintaining good relations with the underground is essential to keep your place running, some of my friends are running pubs/bars there and they all have connections with the underground. They keep thugs away from your place and other gangsters who will try to blackmail your for protection money.
7) Prosim
