Please can someone tell me how i can raise 拢20000 for a business being a discharged bankrupt?

although i was discharged some years ago, i am earning an excellent salary, have 2 new cars, bloody good job, have traded in the line i wish to invest in for some time - alongside my job but do not own my own house. I am finding it impossible to borrow the relatively small sum of 拢20000 to purchase the lease on a lovely shop to enable me to fulfill my dream and grow my fledgling business. You may ask why , if I am earning such a good salary do I need to borrow the money? The reason is because I have 3 very busy kids that cost lots! Does any body know how I can borrow the money from real humans that will listen to my situation? Am I really going to be treated like a criminal because of a small bankruptcy in the past? Surely there must be a way to do it. The crazy thing is is that I have no problem paying the loan back at all, I just need the loan to do it in the first place. Please help!!!!!! grahamk

If I was you I would ask my friends or relatives and tell them that I would give them an excellent tax free interest rate in return for the money. That way they are more open to listening if they will benefit substantially from the investment. But be genuine and pay them back. Alternatively, let them buy shares in your company but realise you are handing the power over to others as currently they have the cash that you need and you dont.

You consider 拢20,000.00 a relatively small sum?! Good grief, man, it's a small fortune!!
However, if you are earning an excellent salary, stop spoiling the children so much and start putting some money into a Savings Account each week. Your children need to learn that money does not grow on trees. Do them a lasting favour and teach them just that. You might learn it too.
