Thinking of opening up my own business? |
I have a building beside my house that I don't use, so I've been thinking for a few months weither or not to open up a business there. I've finally decided that I want to open up a new/used electronic shop, but I have no clue. What should I sell/where should I buy stuff from/should I take in stuff and how much of a percent will I take from it/do I need a licence/how much is this going to cost me/will I really get anywhere with this? I live in the country, so I'm not sure...? I live in the country and work from home! You need to spend some time researching a new business. What you need to know cannot be answered in a simple e-mail. Check with an electronic shop you know and pick their brains. Check with your town or municipality to be sure it's legal to have a business in a residential area. That may stop you if you can't do it. You'll have to have at least 6 months worth of cash to get you through the bills in case the business is slow. Research the internet and where to buy things or visit the store that sells what you want to sell and see who the manufacturer is and contact them to see if they will sell to you directly. Sometimes they have a distributor that you have to go through and they will give you the contact person. Good luck. |
