"BBB" aka Better Business Bureau's. How they Work General? Does it work ? Do they cover thefts?

hey watsup people. Okay recently my uncle took my car to the repair shop and i left my i pod in there cuz it was just going to take a few minutes. So my uncle came back bitching , and they stole my i pod ( cuz he was thinking of taking it out)..so I called then. and the boss said my employees are all trustworthy, they would never do that. So recently my friend said check these guys out. I was wondering, before i proceed with this, has anyone ever has any exp with them/worked with them. Do they cover $ worth of thefts. My referel said that this can really hurt their business and stuff. So I want to atleast get it back, or make him look like a thief. So please tell me anything about them. Thanks. 10 Juicy Points. The BBB is an organization which helps resolve customer complaints, and promotes ethics in business.

They will allow you to make a report of what happened, and they will make your report available to other consumers who request it. If the business is a member of the BBB, they might have some additional consequences, but that's about it. They won't get your iPod or any money back for you.

The BBB collects info about businesses, reports filed by people like you. You can get a copy of all if any complaints with this company through the BBB. As far as legal action, No they do not help with that. A lawyer won't either unfortunately. It comes down to your word against theirs. You could file in small claims court and present your case yourself. You can also file a police report and file it on your car insurance as theft if you have the proper coverage.
