What do you think would be a profitable store front business?

If you wanted to own a business that was fun to run but most importantly profitable what type of business would you own? Lets say you are in a large town with a lots of established shops and big department stores. Would you go for something needed, even though there are other businesses to meet those needs or something different, so there wasn't too much competitiion but less demand for the product? Would you sell product or provide service or both?
