How often do people pay attention to business flyers posted in windows?

I am doing some marketing research for my small business. I would just like to see how many people read flyers that are posted in shop windows and other places they visit.

Unless it's big and obvious, almost never. Colorful or pretty gets my attention, but that doesn't mean I'll read it.

However, if I find something in my car door, not on the windshield, I will read it. Dunno why......

i never consciously even notice them. i definitely dont read them intentionally. sometimes subconsciously i might be affected by them if theyre a big sign advertising a company or product.

Don't worry, when someone is looking for something, they read everything!

I usually get pissed when there is a flyer on my windshield or under the door in my apartment. I just toss 'em.

I have my $0.02 business card in the local sandwich shop and scored 2 jobs from that for $1200 each... so people do read flyers when they *really* want a particular product or service.

2 jobs for $1200 each ? Yes... i build web sites :-)
