Best place to live and own a business in southeastern coast of the U.S.? |
I want to move to the beach somewhere on the southeast coast of the US. I've done research, and it seems like everywhere I look at has its faults. I've thought about Hawaii and Australia, but Hawaii is like a million dollars for a condo and Australia I hear sucks too. I want to own a pizza shop somewhere on the east coast (or even west coast for that matter) where it's a nice place to own a business and have a family, nice schools, not way too populated but still good tourist income, on the beach, or maybe even some suburban areas outside of a city. Please help me find my dream spot, thanks. If you are thinking for the U.S. the FLORIDA is the best place. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Orlando, FL Wilmington, NC is wonderful! It seems to be all that you described. Downtown is just great. There is great dining for a laid back evening. There is also a three level bar and a scenic rooftop bar for for a late night. Much more!! I go to Wilmington with my girlfriend when I visit her at Carolina Beach. It is just South of Wilmington. I would love to live in Wilmington, but live on a large lake in NC and love it here too. Try Southern Gulf Coast. Anywhere on the beach from Florida to Texas. Property is cheap due to recent hurricanes, and rebuilding is strong. They desperately need food places along the beach, as most have not come back yet. Tourism is really strong all only the Gulf Coast. Mississippi has the casinos on the beach so draws lots of tourists. Florida has the "redneck riviera" and has always been a big tourist destination for the nice beaches. Gulf Shores in Alabama is a big tourist location too. Louisiana has Grand Isle, which is a fishing tourism spot, and only has a couple of places to eat on the whole island. Good tourist income, and a real small town feel. Texas has Galveston, Corpus Christi, Port Arthur, Port aransas, Padre Island. All lots of tourists. Corpus and Galveston are big towns. others smaller, and more or less just tourist destinations. Padre probably has the largest tourist income, and many college kids who would love pizza. Of course there will be hurricanes and storms to worry about on every beach/coast, but I feel like the Gulf Coast has seen more than it's share, and it should be another 20 years before the cycle starts up for them again. Right now you can probably get a small business GRANT to bring business back into a lot of these hurricane ravaged areas. last week you asked this and i told you key west. we have a hotel expansion going on now and what is great is going to be better! we have room for more than one new pizza shop. i grew up in ft. lauderdale and it sucks! traffic, crime, last week a bso deputy was shot in the head and this morning another was shot and killed! we dont have that here. the real estate market is down now, it is a buyers market. do some more research and i think you might like our little island paradise! |
