Buy and Then Sell For Twice The Price?

Hi I want to start my own business shop on Ebay.co.uk, what can I sell that I can buy from somewhere and sells for twice the price easily, any ideas?
What sells well and makes a good business?

Also I'm thinking of doing a video game shop, give me a list of wholesalers please, thanks :)

I am an ebay seller, I actually HAVE a video game shop. I do not buy new games, I buy secondhand, advertise in a local paper that you want to buy video games (nintendo sells best) and people will come to you with their retro video consoles and games which they think are worth nothing but there is a bustling trade on ebay for them. I easily make an extra 100% on top, often more than that. It's more difficult as in a way it is being a pawnbroker (minus the loans department) BUT the profits are higher and to the people who said that buyers aren't stupid, they may not be stupid, but they will be willing to pay a higher price if they are imaptient and want it now, also offering things such as paypal and 'get it fast' are going to appeal to people who don't want to wait more than a couple of days for their purchase. **If you have the work ethic you can easily earn a living from this, I won't give away all of my secrets, it took me about a year to REALLY learn the trade and to find my ideal product. I am a mum so I don't spend much time working on this but I still earn a full time wage.

hi look people are not stupid and consumers nowadays are much smarter and know to shop around for the best price if you try to sell items at a 100% mark up people will not deal with you you should look at a product that you can make maybe 30-35% nett-profit on and make the money in volume sales. good luck with anyways

first of all you need to know what you're buying and selling. you can't sell stamps if you have no ideea about them. even if there is a 400% profit in that area.

also it's hard to get your stuff from ebay and resell it on ebay. you need to think what category of products you can master, start learning even more about that and then start your business. let's say you decide you will sell furniture (old antique furniture). you can check on ebay, see what models sell fast, then try to get some from another source (while monitoring ebay cause maybe something sells really quick and you can get it form there for a low price). sell on ebay what you got from your own town with a profit and then start expanding. maybe there are some products that sell better in the winter than in the summer. buy them cheap in the summer and resell them with a good profit in the winter.
to make this short, the antiquities sell very good if the original owner does not know the real value, but you have to be sure you know it so you don't get screwed ...
about wholesale prices for games ... make a list of gamehouses and try to negociate with them. they can give you the best possilbe price.

Why would we share with you are great ideas for making lots of money? Wouldn' t we do this ourselves???
