Christmas shopping loans?

my boyfriend has a good paying job but were currently catchin up on a couple bills so moneys tight right now, and we have 2 kids to buy for, he doesnt use his bank for cashing his cheques, instead he uses money mart, so that the money isnt held 5 business days, but because he has no activity on the bank account, we r having trouble getting a loan! does anyone know of anywhere (im in canada) that would loan us money? we are only askin maybe $200-$500 and we could pay it off with in a month, HELP!

If you are going to pay it off in a month, I would ask if you could borrow money from a family member. Also you might consider applying for a credit card. You can charge your gifts and than pay them off later. That is how Americana's do it.

I'm sorry for your plight and can't answer your question. Any loan you could get would likely have a very high interest rate. This will just set you further back. I would recommend you bit the bullet this year and try to save for next year.

The only places I know of that would do something like that would be Check'n'Go. They give you a loan until your next paycheck. Good Luck and Happy Holidays.

meisa777, that is how Canadians do it too, and I would suggest to do the same thing, except it may take more time than they have to actually get the credit card in the mail.
