Which business do you think would make more profit if i open it?

a tattoo shop, or a bar. i'm thinking a bar but it would be more expensive to start up.

Bettter question is which would you be happier running?

Both are hard work, but a few folks I know who owned or managed bars had lots of problems with employees either skimming the register or letting tabs get out of control.

Are you a good enough artist to make it tattooing and businessman to make a shop profitable at the same time? Some alternatives would be to work at another shop. Let them have the headaches and overhead while you make money, build your skills and learn the good and bad on running a shop-maybe even offer to manage it after a while.

Everyone I know who owns their own business doesn't make much per hour for many years if ever. Over time it may make one rich though.

Supply and demand and location. Is there a need for either or is that need already fulfilled? Suggest you write a business plan and present it to a banker to see if you qualify for funds. If so I would say a bar will bring more customers than a tat shop.

Loan sharking at 50% interest for two weeks. Bars and pubs will always thrive - the worse the times the more people will drink.
