People who live in the UK.. new business?

I want to open a shop, where I would make and sell cream tea's (scones with clotted cream & jam) also other afternoon tea cakes like victoria sponge etc..., I went to devon last year and they had this kind of thing there and it was always busy.. and as we don't have anything like that around here (hertfordshire) I was thinking it would be a good idea....

What do you reckon?
Would you use this shop?

if it's a new type of business in the area either it will really take off and do well, or it will not take off and not succeed - but you won't know til you try!!
do some market research in the area to see what other people think about having such a shop there, get responses from other local businesses too to make sure no-one's going to try and oppose your plans.
brainstorm lots of ideas and use business advice websites like business link, make your mark, newbiztips.net, small business service, clearly business etc (there are loads - just do an internet search to find them) to explore your ideas fully before you jump in at the deep end - especially if it will be your main source of income.

i love cream teas. living in the west country we can get them whenever we want, but i have noticed there are not many tea shops in other areas. i think it would be a good idea. i for one would use it if i was ever up that way. it might be an idea to offer alternatives like toasted sandwiches as well. good luck, happy munching.

I would probably use it if I was in Hertfordshire :-( but i live in Northamptonshire (there are'nt many here either)
