Need help on advertising my business on adsense

I want to know:
1. Whether its a good idea to spend money on adsense

2. If i do decide to advertise what can i do maximize my earnings

3. What are the possible problems i need to look out for

I would also appreciate recommendations on books i can read -i want a book that focuses on people who are advertising on google rather than on people who are hosting ads on their web sites.

Would appreciate any help i can get.

First, what is your genre? How many potentially profitable keywords (searches vs. competition) are performed monthly on Google? Do you have pages on your site geared to the keywords you plan to advertise?

Planning an effective Adwords campaign is not a simple thing. Once mastered, however, it can certainly bring rewards. I learn more every day and have been doing it for five years.

1.I think it's a good idea, though some people may argue that it takes more than your given budget to get to the top of the list. it depends on the number of visitors on your website.
2. I suggest you get the AdSense Inbox system on http://adzgig.com/get/adsense-inbox.html to help you produce more content for your websites. This will get you to get more people to visit your website and increase your earnings.
3. Can't give any from the top of my head. So long as your website doesn't contain adult or gambling topic, it's generally quite safe.
