I just read The Host?

by Stephanie Meyer. I thought it was amazing and clever, with such a great ending! My opinion is that Meyer has such the imagination and she is so brilliant and can put stories together like nobodies business! I would like to hear other people's take on it. Have you read it? What did you think of it? Are you in the process of reading it? If so, what do you think of it so far?

I read it before and thought it was brilliant!! I didn't enjoy the beginning of the book because it wasn't that interesting...I thought that she was very creative with the story and well written.

Stephenie Meyer said on an interview that she is thinking of writing a sequel to The Host. She also said she likes mermaids and might write a book about that or something.

I read it and thought it was something cheesy. Something to read when you're half drunk and can't concentrate on anything more complicated then - This is a cow - that kind of stuff.

EDIT: If Meyer is really writing about mermaids, I weep for them. Another mythological creature doomed for a decade.

Im going to buy the host friday actually when i buy breaking dawn, im interested as to see how the host is

I just have to say this.....

there are good writers and then theres good story tellers. Sometimes people can be both. I personally think Stephenie Meyer is a good story teller and thats what keeps me reading her books.

i love love love the twilight series - but after reading the host i think i may prefer it - i never thought that would happen.

it was amazing and i heard she has mapped out 2 more follow up stories and i am so excited.

the ending was cleaver - neat, nice, to to depressing but still believable without ruining the book.

I did read it and I loved it! Not as much as the Twilight books, but the Host is up there! I found that it was so much different than twilight. I mean, a girl falls in love, but not really. Kinda confusing, I know, but still a great book!

I loved it... BUT. The beginning was too slow, alot of it was unnecessary. And then it was almost like she ended it and decided she wanted to add a bit more then ended it again but was bored and started adding on another bit.

yea i have read it. it was very good. and yea it was clever. lol. but there is no way it can compare to the Twilight Series!!!! lol. yea Stephenie is an amazing author. very smart and creative
