Need advice on being a host?

i'm hosting a discussion on business interest group for the 1st time this week. i want the group to be involve and be talkitive; any advice? what are something that get you talking?

When I had discussion group, one thing that helped was asking the quiet people what they thought of the situation.

I would break up the arguing by saying, "So 'Amanda' what do you think of this situation?" It gives the quiet ones a chance to voice their opinion over the more outspoken folks.
