Best way to create a successful website?

I have a business idea that requires me to build a website. I just don't know what company to use to host, and that has built in web design tools that will suffice. I don't want to hire a professional to design this website cause I don't trust to many people, I have had bad experiences. I don't have experience and most sites that offer the mentioned tools promises it will be easy and don't require experience, here's an example http://www.infoservemedia.com/design/DIY... The website I want to build will require the same capabilities as say www.fathead.com. Please Help!!!!

Before even considering hiring someone to build you a custom website, make sure that you have an SEO consultant to ensure that your website has a high PR (Page Rank) on Google, Yahoo and MSN. We are reminded of the fact that search engines are the Yellow Pages of the Internet. Unfortunately, there are far too many websites that rely on "branding" of a domain name instead of simple effective SEO metatag placement.

Good luck!

Do you want to have a site that looks like www.fathead.com or is in the same niche as www.fathead.com? Do you want to sell that type of merchandise?

You don't need to hire someone to do that although it may not look as snazzy as fathead. You can always get started on your own and then hire a professional once it gets off the ground.

Here's a site that may help you get started with web hosting decisions: http://www.simple-internet-strategies.co... .

It takes time to build a site that makes money. But plenty of people are doing it without hiring a professional...you can do it, too!

Best Wishes,

Healthy Mom

You're not going to get a website like fathead.com using a cheap website builder. Fathead.com was a custom job done by professionals. Websites like this cost thousands of dollars to program and even more money to market. I think you know that.

While going the cheap route may save you money, the site won't compare to a custom site done by a professional.

Many people fail to realize if you want a custom ecommerce website and have no web design skills you are going to have to hire someone.

If you want to make a website similar to fathead.com then you might want to hire someone. You obviously don't want to do that. I would go a try out wordrpess (it's free) see if you can build something that would be useful. But since you probably want to implement Ecommerce on your site then it is recommended that you use a professional. But that is just my opinion based on past experiences.
