I need some ideas for my business party?

I'm planning a party for my new business which is a bakery. I plan on hosting the party in my home and I will be serving samples of my cakes, pies, etc. Since some of the people don't know each other, I don't want it to a awkward evening. We can't spend the whole night just eating so I need ideas for activities.

Yes, the business is being run from my home. That would be why I'm having the party in my home.

Try charades (dessert titles) or have music playing for dancing, or have a Price is Right game where your items and prizes are your baked goods. Have the section of the show where they guess prices of products, and if they guess correctly, give them a dozen cupcakes, etc. the list is endless. You're trying to introduce your goods, now take the orders!

Or, have an open house dessert party, serve with tea, coffee, etc. Have tables set up elegantly, have gift baskets prepared with your products as door prizes.

I have a friend in NC that bakes cookies and takes to restaurants and they buy them, and she gets repeat increased quantity orders. Working from home is a good idea until enough capital is made. Invite restaurant managers, etc. You could be furnishing Perkins or another upscale restaurant with your cakes, pies, etc. Go for it!
Make sure your kitchen is expertly cleaned to begin and then find a space eventually. Also, check on health regulations, etc. Have all bases covered.

The Sweetery in South Carolina ships in dry ice containers their desserts, etc. all over the nation. They taste as fresh as made that day -- there are possibilities. Congratulations!

Why would you do this in your home? Doesn't seem very professional. Is your business being run from your home?

I would just do the "open house" format. Start and end time and offer your products. I really cannot think of "activities" to put on. If you could find a party planner to put on a short seminar/give hints for planning a successful holiday party, that might be cool and draw people in.
