I want to design my own website, does anyone know if sitecube.com is worth the money?

They have awesome templates, but I am reluctant to pay a 'setup fee' when I know it's just a con!
I have my own hosting business, http://www.hostingforit.com, so I don't need someone else's hosting!

Okay, some very good advice here, excluding the idea about using Dreamweaver, which I've thought of doing, but consider it too expensive to buy and have shipped to my home in Japan.

Also, www.x5webdesign.co.uk, if my site is taking '46 seconds' to load each page on your computer, it ain't because my site is slow, it must be your computer!
It loads up no problem on mine, my friends' PC's and mobile telephones! It's been in business since February and I currently have 83 very happy customers!! (And all I do is park their domains on my site!) So go check your internet connection!

Depends on what you need a website to do for you. I would NEVER recommend using that to anyone who is running any kind of ebusiness, and that's not just because I am a website designer;)

The sites they build rely heavily on flash technology...which is unreadable to search engine crawlbots. In other words, your site will be difficult for a search engine to index.

Also, flash technology limits your audience to people who have the right flash technology installed...remember that a lot of businesses block downloads, so browsers in those companies may not have the correct version installed...meaning, a business that wants to browse your site (or, a slacker at work who wants to browse it....), will not see it.

If you are serious about your site, and want it to make money, you need to hire a pro. If you just want something simple and cheap, buy a template that is more simple and does not charge nearly as much.

A little bit of flash is ok in a site, but sites that rely on it completely are pretty much useless.

Oh and another thing, don't ever put music on a website. (something sitecube not only provides, but recommends..)People HATE it. People browsing from home often times have music playing on their computer, and people at work don't want their sound system hijacked.

I would shop around a bit more if I were you...

I think you have answered your own question! Depending on what kind of website you want, there are tons of cheap if not free templates out there. Even blog templates can create a great content based site, and they are free!

Websites like the one listed above where you use their templates (not templates that you downloaded and install on your server yourself ) are very hard to switch over to another server, and requires a lot of technical skills, or money to do the switch. They make it that way so that it forces you to host through them.

So I would say not worth it, especially if you do your own hosting. That is how these companies make money.

use Adobe Dreamweaver. its a software.

Why don't you practice on www . free webs . com first. It has a large selection of templates, and on some you can edit the css. (I've had to break up the web address because Yahoo edits out the word Freewebs from a url.)

Oh, and it's free.

Below are a couple of websites I've created in freewebs. I edited the css on the dance one (it had a grey background etc.).

www . free webs . com/wbdance
www . free webs . com/swindon50m

There is a list of free sites here and I will add more as they are sent to me.

Thanks

Do it yourself, learn css from w3schools.com or else you may contact a web designer at websites like http://getafreelnacer.com/

hi im not answering your question but your current hosting website is so slow that on the fastest broadband Internet connection available your pages take 46 seconds to start to load on each page.
