The best way to avoid unpleasant questions or annoying paperwork is to NOT admit you are traveling on business. Simply state you are a tourist and the process is simple. If you must admit you are traveling on business (because you will be carrying 'samples' of your product, your stay in the country is suspiciously short/long, etc.) the requirements for each country is different. Typically you will need a formal letter of introduction from your employer and often a letter from your customer. Check the website for each country for specific requirements.

Again, its usually more expedient to just say you are a 'tourist'..
