Not one of the free ones from a host, but with a URL and everything?? Here are some costs you need to plan for:
1. Choosing a domain and registering domain
2. Host provider, such as yahoo.com, etc.
3.There are different prices depending whether you have e-commerce site or not.
4.If you are e-commerce merchant, the host may provide payment service such as Paypal or you may decide to add a merchant account to provide other credit cards--so figure in bank fees to offer the credit cards-another choice of credit card payment processor.
5. E-marketing--some free; but there's "pay per click" also.
6. Other business expenses: internet connection, business certificate and tax, telephone expense, telephone directory ads, web consultant or webmaster fees.
7. Inventory--costs, storage, frieght in, shipping to customers

I have just gone through a business restructuring and am building a ecommerce site myself. The previous owner had a webmaster. It was very costly. $3000 start-up and $2400 annual maintenance. Part of my business plan for 2007 is to slash costs every where.
I chose to use web consultants who help me on a limited basis. I do the product searches, contact suppliers, and upload images and text and create the design within a template. My web consultant created a new logo for me and I used a professional printer for business cards. I created other informal stationary online.
Of course my new website is small, but I got started for less than $250 including consultant fees and I spend about $40 monthly. Most of my other business expenses are paid through May, 2008 or are covered in the household expenses.
Right now, I'm doing a lot of gorilla marketing. But in 2008 I plan to increase emarketing. I really want to break even or certainly show a profit by 12/31/08.
Well this should give you "food for thought." Ask those that are offering hostin service. If you are new to the business it will cost several times as much, plus startup costs. 鈻衡柡 A Multi-awarded Business Web Hosting 鈼勨梽
