What is benifit of imagehosting provider?

I dont know what is the benifit of image hosting provider, i mean a how can ppl get money when the develop a site like imagehosting or othere like yousend it site. can anyone tell me business phylosofy , why ppl create and develop site like imahe hosting and othere, and from where revenew comes

Most of the imaging hosting sites are not generating any revenue. In truth, that is not a part of their game plan. If you would, think of myspace.com, until all the bad advertisement, which I believe they had a hand in, it was not well known. Once the site gets so many unique visitors per time period, the big guys will buy it up, install some advertising, and then make their money back from that advertising. The initial creator will make tons, for investing so little. A server really only costs the electricity that it takes to run it. Sure a technician has to back up the files and do service once in a while, but not all of the time. Most of the technicians work can be automated so they do not have to even be on premise when it happens. Think of how many pictures you can place on a regular CD which is only 700MB. Then think of how many you can run on a 300GB drive. Multiply that times 4 drives for the average home server, and the number gets phenominal. Any broadband connection can run that server, but many choose to go with a T! service which is faster. Again, the end cash generated from the sale out paces the minimum expenses to get it up and running.
