Need some domain info?

Hey,
I got asked to make a business website for someone, and they want a legit website 'dot com'.. now I have made websites before but I always used free hosting and what not, mainly because it was more of just a hobby for me..

So.. I need to find a good legit company that sells domain names and hosts the website and offers good bandwidth with email accounts tied to the domain and ftp capible..

Basically what I need is the works, this is a small company so I don't think the bandwidth is going to be insanely high but still, looking for an anual payment also..

I have no real knowledge of working with domains and don't want to go about this wrong so some info on this would be great,

How does this work exactly? Do I just register the domain and pay for it and then find a website hosting company and route to the domain or what? Or is there companys that offer it all, and what are some if so..

http://www.godaddy.com for both domain registration and web hosting.

There are others that are good too. But for simplicity's sake, pick one like godaddy that does both in one.

You use the tool that godaddy (or whoever) provides you to pick a domain name that's still available, they register it to you or to your company, and if they are doing the web hosting, they'll automatically set the domain name to point to your web host account.
