What happened here..?

was involved with this guy for a about six month, the realtionship was mainly sexual, but it would give me mixed signals as far as what He wanted out with the relationship..but anyhow we went our seperate ways..however we ended on a bad note, I text messaged him asking for something I left at his house and he just went off, he threatened me and told me that he would quote on quote that" He would put my business out in the street" if I called him again, I said sure no problem. I get a call the very next day from his best friend(who happens to be an associate of mine) inviting me to an event he was hosting.I never returned her call so after that when I would see her she stopped speaking to me, then when I would say hell to him He wouldn't speak to me.I run into him a few months later, and he's smiling from ear to ear and tells me he wants to talk to me, I refuse and he stopped and looked mad and so today I'm at a school event and one of his friends is just staring me down and he doesn'

I mean just staring at me and I don't even know him,I've never met him, and I stand up to go to the bathroom and he still staring at me...so I don't know what to think..can someone tell me why is everyone acting so strange, I just had a sexual relationship with someone yet, I feel like my reputation is ruined becuase of it and were all in college.
