What is a reasonable offer for the rights to a single half-hour TV show I produced and hosted back in college?

Back in 1979, I produced and hosted a single half-hour TV show that was called "The Art of Ventriloquism". It featured two ventriloquists and a ventriloquist dealer. It was shown once on Channel 31 and twice on Channel 13 (Both in New York City) in 1979 and then that was it.

I believe that Channel 13 had a tristate viewership at that time. WNYC-TV has since gone out of business.

Anyway, a dealer who specializes in ventriloquism has a copy of the show and wants to buy the rights from me; what should I charge him?

Have a sneaky look into the background of this dealer...has he got TV experience at all? If he has, he might have spotted a money maker in your show and is trying to get a nice cheap deal...why dont you try and consult a production company for advice? A small one might be more friendly and able to give good advice...especially if you target an actual producer by name... Try and find something out first, it'd be awful to sell a million dollar show for a few grand!
