After an Indian (Hindu) marriage, who should the groom's parents invite to the reception?

The groom's parents want to host a reception for the bride after a traditional Indian (Hindu) marriage. The basic purpose of the reception is to 'receive' the bride into the groom's community, and formally introduce her to the groom's (and his parents') friends, relatives, and colleagues. In this case, should the hosts (the groom's parents) also invite the friends and business associates of the bride's parents? Or should they invite only the bride's relatives?

Only the realtives I guess. The business associates and the bride's in-laws just don't make sense.
