I am starting up a wedding consulting business...What are some good ways to get our name out there????

Unless you have access to a local venue that puts on small bridal shows those bridal shows that you're being told to go to will cost up upwards of $900 per show. That's not a good place to start.

Go to vista print.com and make some business cards. They're of good quality and make a decent impression. There's a LOT of templates to choose from. Should take you a couple of weeks to get them.
Then visit local florists, bakeries, photographers & ask to leave your cards. Networking is a good place to start. Also you need to do a couple weddings so that you have experience under your belt.

Also go to some of the bridal/wedding sites. There's quite a few that you can register your business for your area.
The only thing is with those sites, you have to pay for the leads; the customer's information. It can get quite costly, so be careful.

get business cards made and go to the various caterers, photographers, and bakeries in your area. find out if they are willing to be affiliated with you, where you would recommend their business to your customers if they recommend you. if they are willing, give them a stack of your cards, and that should help out some.

Have a free sample of wedding consulting ...but it in the paper and it will let people be able to meet you and then let them know what all you can do and how you handle your business..make a web page Advertising..

Stalls at bridal fairs/shows- bring photos of examples of your work to show people.

Ads in bridal magazines.

Do free consultancy say for the first 10 weddings and you will get a name IF you are good. Then start charging.

Bridal shows.
Network with vendors.
Advertise.
Have a professional website. (A lot of research is being done online now)
