Yahoo has done it AGAIN?!?

Like many others on here, the UK contingent has been effectively barred from seeing the Yahoo.com site as of this morning. Clearing cookies, typing in yahoo.com, us.yahoo, using the button at the bottom of the page - NOTHING WORKS!

Is this another attempt at censorship / divide and rule by Yahoo?

WHY hasn't Yahoo consulted it's USERS? (What kind of business practice IS this? - it seems insane!)

Does Yahoo want national content to be proprietary?

IS there any way to change this back... ?

I have to agree with you that it looks like to me that this is EXACTLY what Yahoo is after when you say censorship/divide. I really wonder who is making Yahoo so big...I mean they really don't GIVE anything except advertisements and head aches.

It looks as if they are all ready for the "New World Order" and to be able to shove people aside at a moments notice.

It's happened to me for the 1st time today. I can get the home page, but when I click on a news item it says access is forbidded. Heaven knows why !!!!!! You're right. It is insane.

Yep, mustve been temporary.. Or yahoo just noticed everyone was getting pissed off with them. This site is terrible for "were currently taking a breather".. I didnt know computers needed oxygen.

seriously it works for me, am in UK and also annoyed at them doing this.

I hate it when it keeps switching I always click on UK at the bottom to make sure,and it annoys me if I forget, because then what you have asked goes completely over their heads and they talk crap anyhow.
But they even have the audacity to plague the UK one with their nonsense and I am half tempted to say "I didn't ask your opinion"

I have more users blocked over there and staying in the UK has kept me safer from VN's the Aussies are proper annoying too (bloody over-enthusiastic wannabe's).

i don't have enough thing to comment on users who are facing trouble with yahoo homepage today as the questions like this are flooding. but i tried using all my computers with different servers to check if this kind of problem really existing, all i can say that all my computers do open every yahoo domain and services. i also tried a lot of time changing yahoo home page in different countries and it's working great also. could it be a user's computer service center problem? or any server connection problem in your area?
