Job prospects with an MSc in Finance degree?

Hi guys !

I am about to study towards an MSc in Finance course at one of UK's top business schools. My question is, what do you think the job prospects upon graduation are (given that the financial sector is in a mess) .

I wanted to work as an equity trader, however, I heard that the banks are not recruiting for such positions at the moment. The credit crunch made me thikning about a career in management consulting, yet I don't know if the economic slowdown won't affect such opportuinities as well.
