Do the programs Hillary proposes scare anyone fiscally?

Hillary proposes lots of government programs.

These programs will cost lots of money.

Not only will the government need more money for these programs, which ain't gonna come from bake sales and car washes, but usually means more taxes, but...

Hillary has been very fiscally irresponsible with her campaign money - unpaid invoices, running out of money, millions of dollars paid to insiders and their consulting businesses, wrong assumptions when budgeting, no reserve back-up money, constantly begging for more donations.

Does it scare anyone to put Hillary in charge if she is promising these very expensive programs and doesn't seem to be able to work within a budget? Are we looking at the possibility of runaway taxation when there are the cost overruns? Why should we put her in a position to actually start these programs, putting the taxpayers in a positions that our money will be Hoovered in taxes to pay for the inevitable runaway costs? Am I missing something???

I totally agree! If you can't manage the millions in your campain funds (due largely to spending on luxuries and such), how can you be expected to manage hundreds of billions of dollars in the country's budget?

Obama's lack of fiscal plan implementation scares me more....I see him going from idea to idea but never committing to anything like he has his whole career "Just marking himself PRESENT"

Taxes? Fine, as long as the money is being spent properly and I can SEE that things are being done and my money is not being wasted.

But the fact that if she is not spending money proprly in her campaign..what makes me believe she will spend my money wisely as president..

no i think it is a very real question we have to ask ourselves. Hillary keeps talking about reducing gov. but every plan she proposes has no choice but to increase gov. obama is the same they want to cut spending and end the war and have a health care bill passed these things are probably will be as expensive as anything the republicans have done so i don't know .

It's amazing how Democrats say that they are for the poor. You will be taxed to pay for welfare, when a Republican program wants to get people off of welfare and on there feet.

Particularly in this economic climate, we cannot afford any more spending programs. The next president has to be economically conservative and responsible. Major changes are going to have to be made to the budget and spending needs to be reigned it.

This is not the time for more spending, even if the programs are sound and well-intentioned. We just cannot do it now.

Both democrats sound great on the campaign trail. Only those that are unwise think the things any politicians promise will happen. Republicans lost congress partially because they failed to fulfill their promises of less spending and government. Each candidate promises the world. I think what should concern us more is what would happen if any of them were able to fulfill their promises. Do we wan't universal health care? I think the country is not ready. I think Obama's plan is better. What the country really needs is someone in between the two parties. I like the tax cuts, I think we will need to maintain a presence in Iraq and I like the idea of providing health care to many that can't afford it now. I also want to build a BIG fence with Mexico. Who will give me that? No one on the ballot will do it. You raise an excellent point. Can someone that cannot manage their own house or their campaign manage the country? Personally, I think not.

Hillary's health care program will cripple the middle class. She keeps harping about the 47 million uninsured. If you look at that number, 1/3 make between 50,000 and 80,000 a year. They choose not to be insured for a variety of reasons ( small business owners, etc), but also, many are between ages 19-27 and think they are invinceable.

Hillary makes it sound like 47 million people are poor and destitute and dying because they are uninsured. That simply is not true. They are uninsured because they would rather drive that Lexus than pay the premium.

Her plans should scare everybody. Democrats have always been for big government and underfunded entitlement programs and the Clintons have always been standard bearers for the cause. A Hillary presidency would certainly further line the Clintons' pockets at the expense of the American people.
