Candidate A - He associates with crooked politicians, and consults
with astrologists. He's had two Mistresses. He also chain smokes and
drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.
Candidate B - He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon,
used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate C - He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't
smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.


Which of these candidates would be your Choice?

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group
of idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to
keep the rest of us in line.

I would have went with politician "A", kinda of figured you were talking about Congress, and I would never advise a woman on abortion.
It was interesting stuff, but I'm not real clear on the point.
(i.e. I don't know much about Hitler's mom, but, knowing what we know now, I would have recommended an abortion in that case and I know that clearly contradicts what I just said).

I thought I heard Adolph Hitler had a lover...Didn't they commit suicide together...

Guess you have also realized that what you see from the outside is not always what you get in a leader.

I didn't know being in congress was so much fun. I think I'll run for office. I'm dumb enough but I am also smart enough to learn the qualities I don't have, such as spousal abuse, public drunkenness etc.

Are you serious ? I already get sick thinking about these incompetent weasels running my life and all AMERICANS and what they have done and continue to do destroying the #1 Country in the World . They are so crooked and the WANNA BE PRESIDENTS are all as guilty . They just sat and still sit letting it happen . I'll give one thing they are good for is blaming the next guy .
What the hell did they do to stop our corrupt law makers ? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! They are the same. You made a great point and more people need to read this . Now my blood went right to my head. Our money goes to these idiots so they can vacation 24/7 and pass these bogus laws for extra money to cover their ***. We need to vote for our own POLITICIANS AND THEY MUST HAVE TERMS. As for Ted Kennedy any one he endorses I have a real problem with. He is the freakin leader of the pack

I see what you are saying. What happens in a politician's personal life doesn't always translate into whether or not they are making policy in the public interest. It is a good point and worth remembering when one votes for who should lead the country.

I'm always amused by these "you just killed Abraham Lincoln and Ghandi!" things. While you're deciding that we have the wisdom to know who should live or die based on some half baked description, why not pull up the biography of Charles Manson? He was a sweet gentle and talented child. Had great potential -- should we go through a time machine and kill him? How about Einstein, he was a bit of misfit and was obviously heading for trouble... never mind.

The language is a funny thing. Here's another one for you. Should we kill this guy, Mr. X? I'll tell you about Mr.X: He stuck a knife through a woman's chest and into her heart, and there were several witnesses.

Oh, I forgot to mention he was the head of cardiology/surgery and he saved the woman's life. Thank you for not killing the heart surgeon.
