How to file a complaint on an immigration agent in New Zealand?

I am outside New Zealand and would like to file a complaint against an immigration agent in New Zealand. He asked for 5,000.00 US Dollars to help us lodged our application to NZ. I kept all the receipts and emails sent to me. It's almost three years now and no development on our application. We just need our money back so we can use it for our children's school fees. Hope someone can help us. GOD BLESS!

Agents cannot guarantee immigration will be approved, nor can they guarantee how long it will take for immigration officials to review the application and make a decision. If he submitted the application as agreed, you probably have no recourse.

You would have to hire an attorney in New Zealand to determine whether any New Zealand laws have been broken, and if so, file suit for a refund of the $5,000. It will cost you more in legal fees and travel expenses to go to court in NZ than the $5,000. If there were any grounds for a suit, you would have to appear in court.
