Help in .NET in application development?

Hi,
I dont have any work expereince in programming and looking for an entry level programmer job. So in an interview I would like to prove anyone that I have the ability to use my skills in .NET to best of my ability by building some complex web application just for demostration purposes.

So I would like to ask you for ideas on what would be an ideal application to start programming.Thanks

I've been there before. I had a lot of development experience as far as classroom and on my own, but most places seem to want physical work experience. Try to go for the entry level programming jobs. If not try something where you can move on in your field, such as technical support or quality testing. Ask about advancement in the position during the interview, so you can know if you are cutting yourself short. I know it sucks, but we all have to start at the bottom and work our way up.

You could write event management software, ie registration, dates.

So you would have the registration through a front end website, and write a backend app to manage it. It will show your database skills, and level of programming knowledge with html, asp, and vb or c sharp.
