Open University:Certificate in Web Application Development has anybody taken this?Has it helped them?

Hi I have a HND in Multimedia Marketing and would like to use my HND and start a career in web development. Im just wondering if anyone has completed the Certificate in Web Applications Development offered by the Open University? and if it has helped them find the job they want?

I'm afraid I can't be much help, however I did consider taking this course a couple of years ago. At this time the Open University allowed student reviews to be posted on the website (every course used to have a section where past students posted reviews, but the OU has discontinued this now unfortunately). Anyway, I know I no longer wanted to do the course after I read these reviews. Many said they struggled. Many said they wished they had a better understanding of Web Applications before they started the course. So it really depends on how confident you are and how much experience you've had in this area. All I know is that past students who started with no knowledge or experience struggled.

I'm not surprised the reviews were bad.

You can't have confidence in a course like that when their own website is absolutely rubbish, which it is. Report It
