Hi Moon Bunny, I'm not too sure what the additional annotation page is and what does she mean by 2 voices/perspectives? I'd love if you could help me start this!

You need to be able to see the story from different points of view. You will need at least two main characters for communication, and have a distinct direction to where your story is going. Try not to get too far off from the original story line or you are inter-twining two stories in one, which can lose the reader and make them lose interest in it.

Give it personality so that it keeps the reader's attention. Try to think of things that most people could relate to, and use those instances. Try NOT to use a certain class of any people as others may not understand the language (lingo). Also, keep it simple, but at the same time be as descriptive as possible to allow the reader to see what you see in how the story line works out.

Before and / or while writing your characters lines out, make notes on what each one is like. Re-read through what you have written and see if the character has remained the same or not in the perspective you want them to be perceived. Re-write anything that could lose meaning so that the story line is fluid.

Keep your notes to refer back to because you may have started with something that you really liked that would make the story better, even after editing. Make the story your own and keep it flowing with sparkles of unknowns only to reveal them later on.

Your final draft will be one that you are confident to allow others to read. Some good reading references that will help you learn your style are "David Copperfield," "Tom Sawyer," "Journey to the Center of the Earth", and any book on "The Hardy Boys" or "Nancy Drew." Of course, these are just suggestions, but do read some to give you an idea of how a story is put together.

What do you not understand? All of it? A part of it? How to get started?

the short form:

write a short story that includes the points of view of 2 characters. An example is a short story about a divorce ( or couples therapy) that shows both sides of it. there is a song in GREASE ( Summer Love) that shows the same events ( or at least the same summer) from 2 sepeate perspectives.

then do the technical ( computer) stuff so the format, and keywords are notated as per instructions, etc.
